George Smoot, Astronomer at the University of California at Berkeley said, “What we have found is evidence for the birth of the universe. It’s like looking at God.” Arno Penzias, Nobel prize winner in physics for the discovery of cosmic background radiation said, “Astronomy leads us to a unique event, a universe which was created out of nothing. One with the very delicate balance needed to provide exactly the conditions required to permit life, and one which has an underlying supernatural plan.” Astronomer George Greenstein says, “Is it possible that suddenly, without intending to, we have stumbled upon scientific proof of the existence of a Supreme Being?”
“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen. 1:1)
In Hebrew, the underlined phrase means, ‘the totality of physical reality, all matter, energy, space and time’. And the phrase ‘God created’ means, ‘God brought into existence something new, something that never existed before’. And in the New Testament, Hebrews 11: 3 says;
“The universe that we can detect, did not come from that which we can detect.”
Well, we can detect matter, energy, space and time. But this is telling us there is something beyond our universe that we cannot detect. Astronomers have discovered that all of the universe’s matter, energy, space and time came into existence in a single moment, in a finely-tuned explosion. And astronomers have discovered that this single moment beginning happened only 13.8 billion years ago! This leaves no time for a Darwinian theory on the origins of life which requires at least a quadrillion years.
So, how was all of this discovered? Well, astronomer Edwin Hubble discovered that, the farther away galaxies were, the faster they are moving away from us. That can only be true if the universe is expanding from a space-time beginning. Also, the farther away you look, the more the galaxies are jammed together. Further, if all this is true then the universe has to be getting colder and colder. Einstein also agreed with Hubble. Because they can now see to the farthest point in the universe with radio telescopes, and measure the temperature at the time of the beginning, they have a temperature curve established. They found that the universe is indeed cooling. When they look at the farthest point, they are looking at the beginning of the universe, they are looking at the past. That’s because light travels at a fixed speed of 186 thousand miles per second. When we look at the sun, we see it as it appeared 8 minutes ago. That’s how long it takes the sun’s light to reach us.
Now when I say radio telescopes, do not confuse this with radio waves like AM or FM radio signals. These radio waves are a spectrum of light. You’ve heard of infrared or ultraviolet rays of light. Well, radio, micro, x-ray and gamma are additional types of waves or rays in the total spectrum of light.
The radio infrared telescopes are so sophisticated today that they can actually see to a point in time when the universe was 100 billionth, of a trillionth, of a trillionth of a second old. And that looks like this — At the beginning, there was nothing but a featureless glow. It was too hot for even atoms to exist, and electrons could not orbit around nuclei. This was at .001 of a second from the creation event. It then took 380,000 years for the temperature to go down enough for atoms to then exist and for the creation process of the universe to continue.
Now let’s focus on earth itself. The earth’s position in our galaxy, is the precise location for all the elements that are essential for life. Near the center of the galaxy, things are too violent and the radiation is too intense. At the outer edge of the galaxy, stars are too sparse and there is not enough building material to make planets. But earth’s position is neither too close to the center, nor too close to the outer edge. Our ‘just right’ location allows our existence and allows us to see and explore our region of space, with nothing blocking our view. Earth’s tilt and rotation are again two more exact and precise features for sustaining life. A faster rotation would result in constant, devastating storms. A slower rotation would cause soaring, life destroying heat levels in the day and much too frigid temperatures at night. Its 23 1/2 degree tilt is ideal for keeping sunlight over the whole of the globe. The moon keeps that tilt stable. And speaking of our moon, our relationship with her is another great curiosity. First of all, it is so large in size relative to earth, that the earth and the moon are actually classified as a double planet system. But studies of gravity show that no such double planet can form out of a single gas and dust cloud so close to a star as we are to the sun. This means the moon formed later than the earth through some unusual process. Lunar exploration confirmed that lunar rocks differ chemically from earth rocks. They found that the moon is 100 million years younger than the earth! (See article: The Mysteries of Origins and Pre-Adamic Races).
In addition, and only recently discovered, is the understanding of isotope signatures. Through this knowledge they have found absolutely no evidence of the non-organic building blocks for life. This means that at earth’s early formation, there was no oxygen, there was no ozone layer, which then allowed life-killing ultra-violet radiation to bombard the planet. In other words, there was no primordial soup from which life could supposedly evolve.
Even our sun had a unique origin. It first had to form near the center of our galaxy where there are loads of heavy elements. Then it had to somehow get radically ‘kicked out’ to a safe spot where life could exist. Most stars are either; too large or too small, or too old or too young, contain too many metals or not enough metals. Ours has ‘just the right mass’ to make it the stable of all stars out there. It also had to reach ‘just the right age’ to produce ‘just the right amount of light’ and ‘just the right amount of heat’ to sustain life on our planet.
Next, is our unique solar system. Also perfectly laid out to protect and preserve life on earth, beginning with Jupiter. It is the largest body in our solar system and is positioned and dimensioned to shield earth from collisions. It deflects comets and asteroids headed for earth. If Jupiter were any larger or closer, its gravitational pull would reek havoc on earth’s orbit.
Let’s next consider Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Saturn has about one-third of Jupiter’s mass, but it still outweighs all the other planets by several times.
Uranus is 15 times the size of earth and Neptune is slightly larger than Uranus.
These four giants; Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune travel in unique almost circular orbits on a horizontal plane around the sun. This exists no where else in the universe. In all other solar systems viewed so far, gas giants are either, too close to their sun, travel in elliptical orbits, or in orbits that are not horizontal. Any of these circumstances would be catastrophic to life on earth.
Scientists, to date, have found over 850 characteristics contributing to earth’s life producing capabilities and its preservation. This is equivalent to winning the lottery 150 consecutive times and only buying one ticket each time. So, since the evolutionists can no longer prove life evolved on earth, they are moving on to the theory now that it evolved on another or other planets. And then those “seeds” of life somehow made it to earth. But they are still forgetting that the universe is only 13.8 billion years old, not allowing the necessary quadrillion years for evolution anywhere in the universe. And this sham that discovering planets with water shows a potential for life? Uh, No! You’re about 849 components short. Water may sustain life, but it certainly doesn’t produce life. They just keep repeating the mantra, “with so many stars there just has to be billions of habitable planets.” But this is what they don’t tell you. There are 200 billion galaxies and 50 billion, trillion stars. All of this data is thanks to the Hubble telescope. Four light-years away is our closest star, Alpha Centauri. In actuality it is not a single or ‘bachelor’ star but a binary (two) star system. Less than half of the stars in the universe are ‘bachelor’ stars. More than half in the universe are multiple star systems. The heavy gravitational pulls in such systems make stable orbits for planets impossible. So the majority of stars are ruled out as life support sites.
Beyond that, 90% of the stars in the universe are red stars. Basically stars that have failed and they also are incapable of supporting life. Well, you say, there are still 10% left and that’s still plenty. Read on evolutionist breath. Stars come in different sizes, colors and ages. The larger the star, the hotter, faster and more erratically it burns its fuel. Stars more massive than our sun burn their fuel too quickly and erratically to support life in their vicinity. Stars less massive than our sun are cooler, so planets have to be closer. But the sun’s gravity then slows the planet’s rotation, making days and nights far too long for a life sustaining environment. Finally, only 2% of the stars in the universe posses planets! And those discovered so far are all gaseous giants, close to their sun and in non-circular and/or non-horizontal orbits. So far, no planet discovered possess even 1 of the 250 characteristics necessary to sustain life.
So now, the evolutionary scientists are getting so desperate they’re spreading an even bigger lie. They are saying, all of the scientists who discovered the universe is only 13.8 billion years old have admitted they made a mistake. These naysayers contend that gravitational waves skewed their calculations. They better be careful with that one. Someone just might find out that the skewing might prove the universe even younger.
With all the latest discoveries and evidences of the heavens and earth having a datable beginning, and an obvious purposeful design, let’s see the results it has had on some notable atheist scientists. Physicist Paul Davies now says, “The laws of physics seem themselves to be the product of exceedingly ingenious design. There is for me powerful evidence that there is something going on behind it all. It seems as though somebody has fine-tuned nature’s numbers to make the universe. The impression of design is overwhelming.” Theoretical Physicist, Stephen Hawking says, “It would be very difficult to explain why the universe should have begun in just this way, except as an act of a God who intended to create beings like us.” (If it convinces Stephen Hawking it should convince anybody!)
